Q: How many birthday party packages do you offer? A: I offer 3 core birthday party programs, each lasting about 45 minutes to 60 minutes. They all include tons of laughter, magic, music, and wonderful moments of audience participation. If you need something special created for your event, however, I have been doing birthday parties for many years and have a lot of different ideas that we can work into the mix.
Q: How far do you travel to do a birthday party and do you charge travel fees? A: I've done birthday parties all across Texas. Most of my customers are based in the Dallas / Fort Worth area. The only minimal travel fees I charge, involve doing programs farther than Dallas / Fort Worth.
Q: How much space do you need for the typical birthday party? A: With most birthday party shows, I'm performing right in front of the family room fireplace or TV. My magic shows are not like our typical briefcase magician magic shows. The set-up is larger than what most people expect. I bring a curtain backdrop system that extends out to 15 feet wide and 9 feet tall. It is adjustable. However, it will fit in any size living room. I make the best use of the space provided with my equipment. I just need a little staging area in front of me for the routines where I have volunteers come forward.
Q: Do you need me to provide a table? Electricity? Anything? A: No. I bring all my own equipment -- sound system, table, everything. I just need an outlet to run the sound system. Total set up time is about 45 minutes so I arrive early enough which gives you total party coverage. My goal is to make this birthday party totally easy for you.
Q: What can I expect from your show? A: Each of my magic shows is an action packed roller-coaster ride filled with audience participation, magic, music, & mystery, I mean it because you deserve nothing less.
Q: Do you use volunteers from the audience? A: Yes absolutely! We get volunteers involved throughout the performance.
Q: What age is your show suitable for? A: Our show appeals to and is suitable for ALL ages. The largest attendance will typically be mom and dad with their children. Every magic show is family friendly, and everyone is treated with respect from the magician.
Q: What kind of music do you use? A: Throughout the entire show the music will primarily be instrumental. Before the show during my set-up, I usually have music playing that is up-to-date hits and pleases most people. If you have a particular song or a list of songs you would like to hear at the party or event, you can send me a playlist and I’ll try to accommodate you.
Q: Where is the best seating located for watching the show? A: This depends upon the venue, but up front row centre is almost always the “best”. As long as all of your guests have a clear view of the general “stage” area, one seat is as good as another.
Q: Are we able to seat late arrivals or those who’ve come for the after-dinner show only? A: Yes, just use your discretion as to disturbance of the audience while the show is in progress.
Q: How many people can I invite? A: The choice is yours. You may invite whomever you want and how many you want. It’s your party or event, so have fun.
Q: How do I book you? A: Simply call me so we can discuss the best date and time of your event. After that we will make out a “Performance Agreement” invoice. You can also contact me through myContact Us Page.
Q: What are the best show times? A: By default, as outlined on our confirming agreement, we schedule our performances according to first come, first serve basis. Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays are typically the busiest days and fill up fast. But any day can be a great day for a magic show! Because of our travel time (1 hour between shows) from one location to another, any changes to the showtimes appearing on our confirmation agreement must be cleared with us in advance.
Q: Is there a deposit? A: Birthday party magic shows and corporate event entertainment shows do not require a deposit.
Q: Is there a cancellation or rescheduling fee? A: No. Due to our busy performance schedule, if you do have to cancel or reschedule, please give us advance notice.
Q: When do you arrive? A: The Magician Kendal Kane will arrive for an inspection and show set-up approximately 1 hour prior to show time.
Q: Do you offer any discounts? A: No. My pricing reflects the level of experience, audience engagement, and professionalism I bring to each show. I focus on creating a memorable experience that really stands out, not just entertainment.
Q: My child is scared of clowns. Are you scary? A: Even though I've been professionally trained in the application of clown makeup, I don't wear any -- for exactly that reason. Instead, I appear at your party dressed in dark slacks, white shirt, a sparkly blue jacket. Safe. Fun. And totally non-scary at all.
Q: How much experience doing children's birthday parties do you have? A: I have performed professionally for more than 30 years all across the U.S. I have literally done thousands of shows for families and family events.
